WORLD JAMBOREE INFORMATION SESSION

Next years 24th World Scout Jamboree, the first ever NORTH AMERICAN World Jamboree, will be held at the Summit Bechtel Scout Reserve in West Virginia from July 21 to August 2. The Jamboree is a gathering of tens of thousands of Scouts from as many as 150 countries. This Jamboree will combine the best of a world jamboree (meeting people from different cultures, sustainability, peace and community service) with the world class high adventure that the Summit offers (zip lines, rock climbing, shooting sports, skate boarding, BMX, white water rafting and much, much more). Registered Scouts and Venturers, between the ages of 14 and 18 (born between July 22, 2001 and July 21, 2005) may attend. Additionally, numerous staff opportunities are available for volunteers over the age of 18. The Garden State Council is sending one Troop, and only 20 slots are still available!!
If you'd like to learn more, plan on attending an information session at 7pm on July 11th at the Rowan Scout Resource Center, 693 Rancocas Rd, Westampton, NJ. Scouts, Venturers, parents and interested Scouters are welcome. Direct your questions to Tom Soszynski, Scoutmaster, at 609-284-0718. Information is also available at wsj2019.us
