Ed and Pat Purdy have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to Scouting through decades of volunteer leadership, supported by distinguished professional careers and a deep commitment to service. Ed built a successful career in engineering, earning degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering before retiring from Lockheed Martin as a Senior Member of Engineering, where he contributed to advanced naval radar programs and later served as a Principal Engineering consultant. Pat spent her professional career in the legal industry, specializing in marketing technology, bringing strategic insight and organizational leadership to her work. Together, their Scouting service spans unit, district, and council levels across multiple councils, with Ed supporting program operations and technology initiatives, and Pat serving in numerous senior leadership roles including Council President and currently Council Commissioner. Their lifelong commitment to mentoring youth, strengthening programs, and advancing council leadership has helped ensure the long-term sustainability and impact of Scouting for generations to come.
