The Council Volunteer Recognition Dinner is the premier event of the year for Garden State Council. On this special evening, our entire Scouting family comes together to celebrate the dedication, service, and extraordinary impact of our volunteers — the people who make Scouting possible across South Jersey.
The highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Silver Beaver Award, Scouting America's highest honor a local council can bestow upon a volunteer.

The Silver Beaver recognizes individuals whose service to Scouting and to their communities has been truly extraordinary. Each year, volunteers serving at the unit, district, and council levels are nominated by their peers and honored at this dinner. It is our Council's opportunity to say thank you — publicly and wholeheartedly — to the remarkable people who give so much to young people across South Jersey.
Celebrate a Silver Beaver recipient or a Scouting accomplishment by placing a congratulatory ad in the event program book.
Ads must be submitted in PDF or PNG format no later than 3:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026. Submit during registration or email to joseph.blazejewski@scouting.org with the subject line "Council Dinner Ad."
