Travel back in time for an unforgettable summer at Camp Roar-A-Saurus! From archery and BB shooting to science experiments and nature hikes, every activity is packed with discovery and excitement. Our dino-sized adventures are designed to challenge Cub Scouts, spark curiosity, and keep them exploring all week long.

About Cub Scout Day Camp

Cub Scout Day Camp is a Garden State Council program for Cub Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade in the upcoming school year. No matter which location you choose, you'll find an awesome lineup of activities including BB guns, archery, sports, games, crafts, rank advancements, and Scout skills.

What's Included

Every participant receives a t-shirt, bag, and patch. Archery and BB advancements are available, and with multiple camp locations and dates to choose from, finding one that fits your summer schedule is easy.

Camperships Available

Every Scout deserves a summer to remember. The Campership Program provides financial assistance to families who need it. Applications must be submitted before registering.

Locations and Dates

The 2026 Cub Scout Day Camp program, Camp Roar-A-Saurus, runs in four locations in South Jersey this summer:

Pine Hill Scout Reservation
Parvin State Park
Cape May County Park & Zoo
Pine Tree Education and Environmental Center

Before your week begins, stop by camp the Saturday prior to pick up your gear, complete the swim test, and submit your BSA Annual Health and Medical Form (Parts A & B).

Weekly program hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a closing campfire program every Friday afternoon.

Den Walkers — Adults Have Fun Too!

Camp isn't just for kids! Adult volunteers are needed to help guide camp dens through their day as "Den Walkers," and the perks are worth it. Earn a $10 Garden State Council Scout Shop credit for each full day you volunteer, up to $50 total.

The Scout Shop carries uniforms, handbooks, Scouting spirit wear, camping gear, and more. All adult volunteers must have current Safeguarding Youth Training, available free online at my.scouting.org.

Please note: Tiger parents and guardians are required to attend daily with their Scout, per BSA program guidelines.

Support Our Scouting Troops

Support can take many forms: Donate through Friends of Scouting, purchase popcorn or camp cards from a local Scout, attend our Women of Achievement dinner or regional Citizenship Awards dinners, and so much more. Your support of Scouting enables Garden State Council to support the experiences of nearly 5,000 youth throughout South Jersey!
