Our New Collaboration with Washington Crossing Council
Summer camp is one of the most important experiences Scouting has to offer. It's where life skills come to life. Through hands-on adventures, group challenges, and time in nature, Scouts develop teamwork, self-reliance, and problem-solving.
The impact goes beyond the campfire. Scouts who attend summer camp typically earn more merit badges, advance higher in rank, and step into leadership roles within their Troop. More importantly, they return home with stronger values, greater confidence, and friendships that last a lifetime.
Our Preferred Summer Camp Partner
The Garden State Council believes every Scout deserves a high-quality summer camp experience, and we've taken a major step to deliver on that commitment. GSC is proud to partner with the Washington Crossing Council, naming Ockanickon Scout Reservation as our preferred resident camp for Scouts BSA Troops, this summer and for years to come. Ockanickon Scout Reservation brings outstanding facilities, a rich program, and a tradition of excellence that perfectly aligns with our mission. Together, we're raising the bar for what summer camp can be for our Scouting community.

Come seek adventure among the pines! Explore the nature and history of the Pine Barrens in this hike-bike-canoe adventure experience and earn habitat-related merit badges along the way!
Support can take many forms: Donate through Friends of Scouting, purchase popcorn or camp cards from a local Scout, attend our Women of Achievement dinner or regional Citizenship Awards dinners, and so much more. Your support of Scouting enables Garden State Council to support the experiences of nearly 5,000 youth throughout South Jersey!
