Below you will find an overview of commonly-presented honors in the Garden State Council, including training awards available to all Scouters and our annual awards recognizing exceptional service.
The District Award of Merit recognizes registered Scouters who have provided noteworthy service to youth within a District. It is one of the most significant honors a District can bestow on a volunteer.
The Silver Beaver Award is the Council-level award for distinguished service to Scouting. It recognizes registered Scouters who have made an impact that extends beyond their unit and into the broader Scouting community.
Presented at the Council level, the Venturing Leadership Award honors those who have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership within the Venturing program.
Scouting America offers a range of training awards that all Scouters are eligible to earn in recognition of their commitment to being a prepared, knowledgeable leader.
