Our Districts

Scouting comes to life at the local level—and that’s where our districts shine. The Garden State Council organizes its service area into distinct districts, each focused on supporting units, empowering volunteers, and delivering meaningful experiences to Scouts across South Jersey.

Serving Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties, as well as Buena Vista Township and Buena Borough in Atlantic County, our structure ensures every community gets the attention, resources, and leadership it deserves.

How We're Organized

The Garden State Council has four geographic districts, plus a council-wide ScoutReach division dedicated to expanding access and opportunity. Each district is led by committed professionals and supported by passionate volunteer committees.

Events, Meetings, and Connections

Each district hosts its own meetings, activities, and events throughout the year, creating opportunities for Scouts and leaders to connect, learn, and grow. You can also stay engaged by joining your district’s Facebook page and group, where updates, announcements, and community conversations happen in real time.

Leadership That Makes It Happen

Behind every district is a dedicated team of volunteers serving in roles like Chair, Commissioner, Advancement, Membership, Training, and more. Together, they help deliver high-quality programs and ensure every unit has the support it needs to succeed.

Support Our Scouting Troops

Support can take many forms: Donate through Friends of Scouting, purchase popcorn or camp cards from a local Scout, attend our Women of Achievement dinner or regional Citizenship Awards dinners, and so much more. Your support of Scouting enables Garden State Council to support the experiences of nearly 5,000 youth throughout South Jersey!
