Camperships

Summer camp is where Scouts build confidence, forge lasting friendships, and develop the leadership and values that carry them through life. Camperships make those experiences accessible to every family, regardless of financial circumstance.

Camperships are funded by the generosity of Scouting alumni, community donors, organizations, and grant partners. With limited funding, awards are based on demonstrated financial need and granted as resources allow.

Scouts should contribute toward the cost of their own camp experience. Camperships may cover up to 50% of the early registration fee for Garden State Council Day Camps, Kuweike Trek Camp, or our preferred partner Ockanickon Scout Reservation (Washington Crossing Council). For any other out-of-council camp, camperships may cover up to 25% of the early registration fee.

Camperships may be applied toward the following programs:

• Cub Scout Day Camp
• Garden State Council Kuweike Trek Camp
• National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)
• Ockanickon Scout Reservation Scouts BSA Camp
• Out-of-Council Scouts BSA Camps

The Campership Committee, the Council Vice President of Program, Council Camping Chair, and Committee Chair approve applications.

• Only one application per Scout.
• Awards are non-transferable between Scouts.
• First-time applicants will receive preference.

Please submit applications online. Paper applications from previous years are not accepted. The deadline for all campership applications is April 1, 2026.
