Designed for youth ages 11-17, this year-round program challenges young people to explore the outdoors, build real-world skills, and take on meaningful responsibility—all while having a great time.
For the first time in its 100+ year history, this iconic program is open to both young men and young women, each with the opportunity to earn Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle Scout.
This is a program built on action. Scouts hike new trails, lead their peers, test their limits, and step outside their comfort zones. Every experience builds confidence, resilience, and independence.
With 137 merit badges to choose from, covering everything from outdoor survival to STEM, trades, and creative arts, Scouts BSA offers something for every interest. Whether it’s mastering a new skill, leading a team, or heading out on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, there’s no shortage of ways to grow.

Support can take many forms: Donate through Friends of Scouting, purchase popcorn or camp cards from a local Scout, attend our Women of Achievement dinner or regional Citizenship Awards dinners, and so much more.
